Islamic institute of Atlanta (IIA) is a non-profit organization that endeavors to provide a world class Islamic Scholarship program for future prospective students from the United States and abroad.IIA hopes to add to the Atlanta Muslim community by developing and implementing many educational programs, including: an intensive seminary program (6-year course), a Quran memorization program, weekend intensive programs, and other youth-centered activities. Both the intensive seminary (6-year course) and Quran memorization programs will include secular academics. Our Islamic curriculum will cover the traditional Islamic Sciences of Tajweed, Islamic Literature, Tafseer Al-Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic Law (Fiqh), and Islamic History. IIA was founded by resident scholar Mufti Mohammed Samir Wahid in the month of Ramadan 1435 (2014). IIA sits on a 30,000 sqft building and 4.1 acres which is about 10 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.
